The very same culture that motivated me to apply to Apple is what I experienced working there. Everyone is incredibly passionate about what they do and cares about the small details. The interns and coworkers are friendly and plan a ton of evening and weekend adventures. There’s a club for almost any hobby you are into; table tennis was my favorite. Lastly, the people you work with will push you to do your best work.
The company culture is really laid back on the surface-- very casual dress, flexible hours. But you will be expected to perform. In my experience, as far software and hardware engineering goes, there is very little politics. As long as you're civil and get stuff done, you're good. The food there is, quite frankly, excellent. I didn't work on the main campus, but at one of the satellite complexes, but even there the food was incredible (and yet still, because it's the Bay Area, people complain). The coffee is fantastic as well.
