It is very laid-back and relaxing. I honestly loved it at the YMCA. A lot of opportunities to get plugged into a new community. The overall company culture was the right balance between work and friendship.

The YMCA has a pretty good company culture. Employees are almost always friendly and supervisors are always flexible if you need to miss work for some reason or another. Additionally, the hours usually aren't excessive or strenuous.

The YMCA has a very upbeat environment. All of my supervisors were very friendly and willing to help. When you are teaching a class the time is your to make the lesson your own, there will not be people constantly evaluating you and making you nervous; however, there are always people around to help.

The YMCA was an incredible culture to work for. Their entire belief was to always be positive and motivating. We sat down with our advisors often to evaluate how we have been doing and create new goals. Other employees in the building often came to my classes to support me.

The company culture at the YMCA is very open, accepting, caring, and family friendly. I can honestly say that there wasn't a day that I hated being at work. Even if I was in a bad mood, someone would always make me smile and feel better. Everyone is there for each other, and the members.

The YMCA is extremely welcoming. There is a family bond between all employees. When someone is unavailable to cover a shift, there is always someone to step up and support them. We also have rules about constructive criticism which I felt was important.

The YMCA is a very family friendly company. When I worked there I really bonded with most guest using the pool and had conversations with everyone. All my coworkers were very friendly and willing to cover shifts if I couldn’t make it.

I have never had a bad experience at the Burlington YMCA. Everyone is very kind and understanding. As long as you don't misuse this kindness, you will never have to feel anxious when you are under the weather and need to find a sub! People are always willing to help you out and the aquatics staff is a very close-knit community.

I would describe the YMCA community as friendly. It is possible to meet rude, snotty people but I dont let that get in the way of my job. All the staff members know each other so its like a second family to me instead of a job.

It’s incredible. Everyone who works there loves it. They are so positive and truly care about the members of the YMCA. Not only that but all staff are community focused as well and work together on providing amazing opportunities to help the local community. The company culture is amazing.

The culture of the YMCA couldn't be more family-oriented. You are surrounded by friendly individuals that you enjoy getting to work with everyday. Seeing everybody come together to help others is one of the many rewarding aspects of the YMCA.
