Preparation for a Pharmacy Intern position at Duane Reade for me involved a few key components. First of all, you want to dress professionally. Second, come prepared, with a copy of your resume and any other application materials or licensure you might need. Third, know when you are available to work. They asked me right away when I am available. If you are a student have your schedule printed out to give them, or your work hours for other jobs you might have. Practice beforehand with a friend to make sure you know what you are going to say the day of the interview. Fifth, make sure you arrive early! Arrive somewhere between 20 to 10 minutes before the interview, but never arrive late. That would make a bad first impression! Last and most important, relax! If you are nervous they will be able to tell and see you are not prepared or confident. Just take a deep breath and respond slowly and clearly if you get nervous.
