Generally, when I would arrive at my store, I would begin by making sure that the team was up to speed for that given point in the day, and, if they weren't, I would jump into to whatever role was needed to get ahead (acting as a technician mainly in this scenario). However, after the pharmacy was comfortable with their current state, I would transition to helping my pharmacists with things that would make their time easier, such as getting voicemails, making doctor or insurance calls, or administering vaccines. Throughout the day, I would seek opportunities to aid my pharmacists when possible by counseling patients, helping resolve issues, and answering technician questions.

As a Pharmacy Intern at Kroger you help perform technician duties - entering in prescriptions, answering calls, processing refills, fixing insurance problems, and counting medications. However, you also get to perform many pharmacist duties under the supervision of the pharmacist. You can take phoned in prescriptions, check voicemails, and give/take transferred prescriptions. You get the opportunity to counsel patients on their prescription or OTC medications. And you can perform MTM services with patients - discussing adherence, high-risk medications, and performing complete medication reconciliations. If you are fully certified, you can also administer immunizations.

I think that it depends on the store and the time that you work. I usually work the afternoon/closing shift. I would sign in and head to the cashier counter where I would pull drugs that patients are picking up, counsel patients, and organize medication ready to pick up. I would then be rotated to the intake and filling station. The other technician leaves and it would then be the pharmacist and I doing intake, filling, and dispensing medications.
