Typically, you come to the pre-laboratory meeting and help collect, grade, and distribute lab notebooks. You may also need to answer questions about the lab, so make sure to read beforehand and pay attention during the presentation. In lab, you will most likely be assigned to a specific area or task, such as helping to run the spectrophotometer or assist in gel staining. Finally, you should expect to be there from the time lab starts till the end of the lab period (as per the registrar's schedule) and then some more time.
