The Quality Assurance team works with developers to test the software for usability, technical requirements, and compliance to various federal and international healthcare regulations. QA writes test plans, executes test plans, and writes issue tickets to be reviewed and fixed by developers. QA will also sometimes lead end user usability testing. QA typically do not need a technical background to apply.
To become a successful QA intern or FTE, keep a few things in mind, do not get pressured from higher management, do not sign off on any test story without thoroughly testing it as per the requirement, think out of the box to approach the testing functionality, so that you test all possible scenarios.
