Preparation for an interview depends on the type of the interview that is being conducted. In most instances, interviews take place in two forms; over the phone or in person. When I was interviewed for a merchandising associate position, I preformed an interview over the phone. The best way to prepare for this type of interview is reviewing the job application and its requirements, and try to imagine different scenarios where certain skills would be required in the work place. For example, if the job application says its looking for someone who remains calm under pressure, imagine scenarios that could be potentially stressful, and ask yourself how you would respond in that particular situation. Otherwise, if you're preparing for an in-person interview, the best way to prepare for this type of interview is practicing how to be confident. Confidence will allow you to relax during the interview and be yourself. This means the employer will be able to see the real you, and will be able to better assess how you will fit in with other employees.
