Former Software Development Intern at Under Armour
over 1 year ago
A typical day can vary. UA does a great job of making sure interns are given opportunities to understand how all the parts of a large company operate and that is done through Speaker Series with C-level executives, mentorship, and time to interact with other Rookies (interns). Most of the time, I was working on my project directly with my team. Most of my interaction was with my direct manager and another team member because they were most related to my project. We did a couple "field trips" to retail stores to understand the requirements and user needs for my project, an iOS application that would be used my retail store employees. Everyday I would eat lunch with the other Rookies and then get back to work. The work hours are pretty standard as it is a more corporate company. I would always look forward to working out at the company gym which was equipped with the best machines and weights.
