The Media Studies curriculum is excellent at getting students to think critically. It also has aspects in almost every other industry, since everything is affected by the transportation of information. Marketing your media degree to prospective employers can be accomplished in a variety of ways. Though as specified, the particular track or pathway you choose within the department has certain ramifications, any MCM major will be able to assert their knowledge of filmmaking and the ways in which it disseminates within audiences. Each MCM major emerges from Brown with a clear picture of how entertainment can be utilized to dispel information in a conducive and efficient manner, the different technical aspects which enhance such ideological implementation, and more. In short, it provides you a gateway into not only making art, but making ideas accessible.

I have been able to work with a range of people which allows me to adapt to different creative style when working on a production. This is important because it shows I have a greater range and will not only be stuck in one job type or character. Patience and time management are also very important in the film industry because time is money but there's a lot of hurry up and wait.
