So I worked at Home Depot as a summer job, usually under 40 hours a week. So the work-life balance was pretty flexible; if you want extra hours, there are usually people who wouldn't mind you taking over their shift. Management will probably confine you to a max of 40 hours a week (otherwise they'd have to pay you more), so it's something to keep in mind. Otherwise, pretty reasonable balance; however, it may be different if you work for the corporate side of Home Depot.
There is room for work-life balance at The Home Depot. As a Sales Associate,it is either you are a full-time or part-time. The schedule is very flexible so as to manage your work-life balance. At The Home Depot, you are entitled to Personal/Sick Time which you can utilize to solve personal problem, and it will be with pay.
