I chose to pursue this career because it gave me exposure to the film industry and it isn’t always easy to break into it. I found a position that allowed me to use my creative mindset to get things done and I was able to grow within the industry starting from day 1.
Hi, I interned at multiple places as a graphic designer. The reason I chose this route was because at the time I had just began to transition from an interior design/design student to a graphic design student and needed to boost my resume.
My first internship was a digital marketing and graphic design internship. This internship was truly so difficult to find because I had no experience and in the area, there was not many internships relating to this field that I could find. I went on Indeed.com and honestly was wondering why I even was gonna take on the digital marketing side of this internship, but gladly I saw how graphic design related to marketing. I wanted to just be a graphic designer in the beginning, but after my experience interning and working multiple jobs I wanted to do marketing and believe that graphic designer opens so many doors if you want to do marketing or advertisement.
My path as a graphic design intern eventually lead me to want to work in the marketing field and now I am studying graphic design and communications. The point I am trying to make is that I made a choice to do the graphic design intern to get to know where I wanted to be in the future. Graphic design is a skill, but also you got to keep learning in this career field! Best of luck- Bianca
