SAP DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT INTERN at IBM Global Business Services

A typical day for me was actually quite different than what I expected. My team had to work at our client’s office which was very far away from the hotel we are staying, and so usually I had to wake up at 6:30 to get on the company bus with my team and arrive at the client’s office around 8:30. Then from around 8:45 to 12, everyone on the team works on their assigned tasks which range from improving existing business logic to cutting down unnecessary costs. My specific task was creating a database table that automatically monitors the transportation of raw material from point A to point B and did not have as much client interaction as some of my co-workers, but you could expect to have a meeting everyday. From 12-1 it was lunch break and then in the afternoon everyone is back to work until around 5:30. There are weekly meeting for each member to report their progress and update the project manager on any issues that block their progress. By 7:30 pm, I am back at the hotel and mostly have those free time to myself, but I have worked overtime occasionally.
