At IBM, I worked within the Digital Business Group (DBG), which is a business unit within IBM that was created a couple of years ago to lead the company's digital transformation, meaning making the company's offerings and products more digitally available. Within DBG, there are several teams including marketing, HR, legal and strategy. The Digital Strategy team is further broken down into several specializations, including the Digital Platform Strategy team, which is where I was placed. I worked on evaluating and assessing IBM's current digital platforms by comparing them to competitors and make recommendations to enrich our platforms to make them more user-friendly and increase digital revenue.

IBM groomed me as a consultant with the ability to translate technology solutions into business driven deliverables. I worked with the Digital Strategy and iX team to facilitate a digital transformation project with Bank of America. Our task was to facilitate a design thinking workshop with senior executives BoA’s corporate treasury team. I learned about corporate treasury and worked with a fellow consultant to present an overview of treasury services, operations, and competitive landscape to IBM stakeholders, educating the deal team and saving over 2 weeks in pre-project preparation.
We partnered with Bank of America business leaders to define corporate treasury software goals and IBM UX designers to design AI enabled counter-party risk solution. I worked with the consultant team and the Bank of America team to analyze and prioritize 50 potential use cases, and developed end-user stories to make recommendations for Bank of America’s prototype for a next generation wholesale banking solution.
