My passion for sales started before I got to business school and only got stronger as I interacted with various classmates who were very successful in their sales careers. Half way through my MBA, I got the opportunity to work more closely with sales teams at IBM and began to understand what a career would look like in either tech sales or sales. In addition to the compensation component, the appeal was being able to have a tangible impact and being part of the profit center for a company.

So this is a complicated answer! I received my Bachelors in Health Science because I had originally been pursuing a Physical Therapy Degree. However, towards the end of my junior year, I realized that my heart was no longer in PT. By that time, I was only a couple credit hours away from graduating, so I went ahead and completed the program, thus receiving my health sciences degree. I had no intentions of getting into IT sales, but right after I graduated, a manager from HP had reached out and asked if I would be interested. HP is what got me started in IT sales. From their I transitioned to Oracle, and then ultimately back to HPE.
