As a PMSC, you need to be: detail-orientated as you will serve as the primary liaison between a patient, their physician, and their care manager; technologically savvy as you will be working with and electronic health records system such as EPIC and various other computer programs such as Excel; and you need to be caring and compassionate in order to maintain a strong relationship with the patients.

Thank you for this analysis. I began my education at the graduate level in public health and have reached the level where I could complete this degree with internship in public health and a capstone. At that point I began to rethink my focus and changed my concentration to healthcare administration. I am in the start of that program and Ii believe II am on track for acquiring the skills that I need to work int he field. I have also contemplated completing training in electronic health records in coding, and I wanted to know if at this level this is a good skill to acquire.
