I was assigned to mostly kid’s English classes. The kid’s age raged from 5-10. I felt like part of my job was managing the classroom and make sure the kids were paying attention. The TA is also responsible for helping the teacher to prep for the class. Or being organized is important too.

As a TA part of my job was helping the teacher by managing the classroom. The TA is responsible for assisting the teacher in properly preparing the class. You have to be organized and engage with the students. One very important skill that is needed to be successful as a teacher assistant is to make sure that the kids are having fun while learning with you. Children learn best when they are enjoying themselves. Also, having patients is essential if you are a Teacher Assistant.
