The earlier you can nail down exactly what you want to do in the field the better. If not, it’s okay! In both scenarios, experience is the most important thing about making an impact with an employer. BIT is pretty vague so an employer is much more likely to hire say a Systems Analyst for example, if you’ve had experience maintaining or improving some back-end corporate infrastructure and displayed such experience on your resume and in your interview as opposed to saying you did accounting work. But some experience is better then no experience at all so make the most of every opportunity that presents itself and strive to build your brand!
