Former Trail Maintenance position at National Park Service

The main skills I would highlight during an interview with the NPS are a strong work ethic, resilience and perseverance–the days are long and strenuous, with various physical challenges specific to different areas. In my time in the NPS I performed manual labor for 8 hours a day in all conditions, and the NPS knows this work isn’t easy or for the light of heart. Stressing these skills or more importantly values will go a long way to winning the approval of an NPS interviewer, especially if you can back these words up with experiences. Valuable experiences would be experience on sports teams or previous labor jobs.
