Former Assistant Instructor at National Park Service
almost 2 years ago
I wasn't working directly for the National Park Service, but as an assistant instructor for an archaeological field school that was run through the National Park Service and National Forest Service. As an assistant instructor, I would help teach teams of students different archaeological techniques such as mapping, survey, and artifact identification. I would also lead small teams of students to practice these skills, and we would draw topical maps, map archaeological features, and record artifacts. In addition to that, my duties included managing our campsite, planning meals, and organizing groups to prepare food and clean up after meals every day.
