As an intern at MSKCC, one can expect to have a lot of ownership over their work. Your mentor will guide you and help you and oversee what you’re doing, of course, and there will be a lot of training and partner work, however once your mentor feels you can work on your own, you will be given assignments to spearhead yourself. It is a lot of autonomy and independent work with your mentor there as a guide and a helping hand once you get the hang of it.
