Nike team members, known as "Athletes", are responsible for servicing consumers as they shop, handle cash and mobile transactions, and be knowledgeable about the Nike technology that is woven into their products. You may also be responsible for retrieving product from inventory at the customer's request or to replenish the floor with popular styles that go quickly.
Team members are the face of the company, they are the sales associates you see every day during your shopping experience. Team members are sales associates, customer servicers, cashiers, fitting room attendants, and can also be involved in shipping and receiving. You get moved around from shift to shift until you find where you excel, then you most often will be scheduled there. So, for example you maybe initially in men's footwear, then fitting room, then on a handheld cashing station, the women's apparel, then women's footwear. If you like men's apparel, and you excel at sales and sign-up goals in men's apparel, you'll be most often scheduled there. Team Members are expected to be motivated, enthusiastic, problem solvers, knowledgeable and good listeners. Don't worry if you don't know everything about the products yet, they have extensive training program before they put you on the sales floor! As you work at Nike, you may discover little tasks you like to do, like changing the mannequins or floorsets or size bead sorting. Management loves when you are trained and then you begin to take initiatives, like replacing a sweatshirt on a mannequin!
