Former Special Agent at Federal Bureau of Investigation

To begin with - you would likely discuss your education and your job experiences and how they might relate to the FBI's mission. An example might be if you were an accountant / CPA this type of background would translate well to White Collar Crime - bank fraud investigations and the like. However please realize that a financial background would translate well to numerous areas the Bureau investigates. That being said, when I entered the FBI in 1988 they also stressed being aware of current events - I was advised to read the NY Times and the Washington Post for example on a regular basis. You want to be aware of national and international events in detail - not just what we are exposed to on the internet or twitter. Another bit of advice - be absolutely candid in your responses - if you don't know something just say so .
