I liked interning as a Social Media Marketing Intern for JoyRun because it opened up the door to Marketing for me. Before that internship, I interned for Chico State’s campus newspaper, The Orion as an illustrator, and while I enjoyed what I did, my work in Social Media Marketing interested me more, and now I am a paid Marketing Paraprofessional for another organization at Chico State! What I did not like was the fact that my supervisors had poor communication skills, causing the program to not make any progress for about a month. Also, the contract I signed seemed to contradict what I had been told when it came to my payroll, which I would not have noticed if I did not read everything in my contract before ending the internship. Once again, read EVERYTHING and make sure you understand everything in your contract before and after starting a job anywhere!
