Being a medical scribe, I thoroughly enjoyed working with the doctors/providers, especially ones I worked consistently with. I learn something new everyday to help reach my goals and with what I can improve in the medical world. However, there is a downside to being a scribe such that you don’t get to interact with the patients. Basically, you’re a fly on the wall and typing in the chart for the provider. It does get boring typing all the time but it gives you experience being a provider, more than shadowing.

Becoming a scribe is a lot of work similar to taking an additional four credit class for about a month. Do not go into the job thinking that it will be easy because it isn’t but like with most things, the more work you put in the more reward you get in the long run.
