Scribes make minimum wage for the first few months, then $10/hr (or continued minimum wage if minimum wage in the state is $10 or more an hour). Trainers make $11/hr and the quality assurance and chief scribes make $13-15/hr.
Scribes first work at minimum wage for the first 90 days. After 90 days, scribes make $10 an hour with raises of about 2% that occur every year from good attendance and good excellence standing. Scribes who further their career, such as becoming trainers or managers, make more. If a Scribe is committed, works hard, and strives to better themselves in the workplace everyday will move up quicker than others.
As a medical scribe, pay starts at $8.44 hourly, which becomes $10/hr after 90 days. Higher up positions, such as project leader pay up to $16 or more hourly.
