Training wise: you first start with ScribeU which teaches you the basics of an EMR (electronic medical record). Then you do a quick classroom training and realize that the training you received at ScribeU is subpar to the actual EMR. You then go through a series of 7 training shifts to apply what you have learned and to become familiar with the EMR. After that you have your 8 training shift, which is your mock solo. If you pass that you start working, if not you have an additional shift and then begin.
You start with online training. It is a good basis for the training. You will have one day of training learning the system. Then you will have 8 training shifts in the ER.
