A day in the life of a Marketing Intern at Varian depends heavily on which team you work for and if it is focused on one product or at the corporate level. Either way, a large part of the job is researching and learning about the product(s) in depth, so you can apply that knowledge to marketing them. With an in depth understanding, you can then easily update and create content that is accurate and direct. The job includes a good balance between working on your own, and reaching out to your manager and other people throughout the company to quickly gain a thorough understanding of the products, inside and out.
Former Software Engineering Intern at Varian Medical Systems
over 1 year ago
I worked in the Milpitas office at Varian Medical Systems on their “Probeam” proton therapy product. My daily activities included supporting the development team with their activities, testing the product before new software revision releases, investigating defects reported by customers, and participating in SCRUM meetings.
As an intern, there were many organized events I was invited to. However since most of them took place at the Palo Alto headquarters, I did not attend many of them.
