I think it really depends on the kind of job you are looking for or what time recruiter is looking for at the Museum, so the first thing I’d ask is what kind of positions are available. When I worked there I was a volunteer research assistant for my family friend who was completing his PhD (and I was registered as a museum volunteer to log my hours), so I spent most if not all of my time in the upper levels of the building working in his office and in his lab. If you are interested in a research position, it might function in a similar way. Another good question to ask might be how much time will you spend on the actual museum floor. Other jobs perhaps in the educational department might have offices that interact more with the public.
