My number 1 question would be: “What does the Credo mean to you, and how do you use it in your everyday work life?” J&J absolutely loves their Credo. You can earn a lot of brownie points by being able to effectively talk to it and ask questions about it. Other things that J&J prides itself on is “diversity” and “healthiness”. Ask about diversity programs as well as HealthForce 2020. You will have the recruiter watering at the mouth for you!

I would prompt questions that ask about the differences that J&J sees themselves from other biomedical/consumer companies, and then also from influential technologies as well, since J&J is now putting considerable focus in biotechnology and trying to enter the tech and design space; ask them about why they are doing so and how they think it can positively influence society, both as consumers and as employees working behind the scenes to make that happen. I think showing interest in the genuine company culture is an invaluable plus, so definitely also ask about the Credo. I cannot emphasize this enough, but the J&J credo is the pride, heart, and soul of the company, and displaying passion towards that mission is a great catalyst to a potentially enriching conversation.

Do your research by visiting the website, particularly the Credo and available job postings. Write down questions you have after reading. Some possible questions: What is the culture like at Johnson & Johnson? What qualities do interviewers look for in applicants? What kinds of career development opportunities are available?
