Internal Auditor at HSBC

Internal auditors provide an independent, objective assurance to improve the design and operational effectiveness of a company's internal risk management frameworks, systems, controls and governance processes. They are the third line of defense and differ from external auditors (do not confuse the two). Both soft skills and analytical skills are important and the most relevant include data analysis and attention to detail when testing the business' controls and processes as well as relationship management and communication skills with the business side.
