The best way to prepare would be to focus on three things. First, make sure you know and understand retail math extremely well. Ensure that you are comfortable calculating revenue, profit, cost, margin and turn and understand the concepts well enough that you could speak to them with concrete examples. Use as much data in your interview responses as possible while still ensuring your answer sounds natural. Second, product and market knowledge is very important, so research trends within the product area you would be applying for and be able to speak to how you see them fitting in at Macy's. Finally, research and prepare answers for why you want to work for Macy's specifically, and what you see your career path at the company looking like.
