Former Community Economic Development Volunteer at Peace Corps
almost 3 years ago
My interview experience was not stressful at all. My recruiter was a recently returned volunteer and he was very nice and very helpful. The interview itself was pretty straightforward. He just asked several questions and then typed up my answers as we went along. The questions themselves were easy to answer. I was excited about becoming a volunteer and just let that lead the way for me. Your whole life has been your preparation. Just think about experiences you’ve had that will help you if you were to become a volunteer. Like traveling to a foreign places or working with people of a different culture. If you don’t have a lot of that your willingness to do so should come through naturally – you’re trying to become a Peace Corps volunteer! You probably have a good idea of what you are getting yourself into.
