My major provide me with little application towards my job title as a superintendent. The knowledge of reading and understand building blueprints is a plus. Also, when working with the mechanical components of the project, knowledge of HVAC systems was useful but not required. I believe since I chose the management side of engineering rather then the design path, most of the things I learned were on site and hands on along with the interaction with other people.
