It's very busy as they have a large amount of rooms per floor. I worked on the surgical floor so we spent a lot of time walking post surgical patients and ensuring they had adequate mobility prior to being discharged home. The medical oncology, intensive care unit, and emergency department run a bit differently. The inpatient floor tasks include checking vitals regularly, passing meals and helping to feed patients, assisting them with activities of daily living such as showering, teeth brushing, dressing, etc.
