Licensed Nursing Assistant at Dartmouth-Hitchcock

I had a phone interview with 3 or 4 people on the phone at once. During this interview, I was asked to reflect on my abilities to work in a hospital- most notably, whether I would be able to multitask and think quickly. I gave examples about times I had been in tough positions at work, and what I had done. I also gave examples of qualities I possess that I thought would be helpful. Before working at DHMC, I was a home health LNA, and I brought up my experience with the home health agency too.
To prepare, you should think about what it is like to work at a hospital (loud, busy, physically/mentally/emotionally demanding, you're working with lots of people, you need to prioritize, you need to work safely and quickly, etc). You should think of examples of times you've done these things and write some key stories or points down so that you have something ready to say. Patient safety and working efficiently are two of the most important parts of my job and you need to demonstrate that you can do those things.
