Phlebotomist Technician/Medical Historian at BioLife Plasma Services
about 2 years ago
It is a very fun and fast-paced environment! Each day you go to the floor wearing full PPE and go to the “station” where the supervisor needs you most at that moment. You will either take over a section of plasma donors in process, float around helping other phlebotomists start or end the process for donors in their section, process plasma and blood samples for lab testing, or measure prospective donors’ vitals, protein levels, weight, etc. to approve them to donate plasma. You are walking around quite a bit and switching tasks often. You end your shift by restocking medical supplies and equipment.
