Former Aerospace Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney
almost 2 years ago
To prepare for an interview I would recommend that you get familiar with Pratt & Whitney (and UTC) as a whole. Look at their website and really understand what their mission and goals are about. This is important because, during the interview, your interviewer asks you questions that try to see if you "fit" the company's vision. When it comes to technical questions, don't worry. You may get asked if you are knowledgeable on a certain topic but your interviewee doesn't expect you to know everything. That is why you should have a set of questions prepared to ask. Another thing that I strongly emphasize is to make sure that you have a solid understanding of what is written on your resume; this means that you should be able to explain projects, courses, etc. when asked. Lastly, just be yourself! I would say that 50% of the interview encompasses standard interview questions and explanation about the position you applied to but the remaining 50% is a normal conversation between you and your interviewer.
