The work life balance at Grant Thornton as an intern is ideal. They do not expect you to work overtime and every Friday is a fun activity that is meant to provide time to bond with other interns.

The work-life balance at Grant Thornton is very manageable. While you will be at work for at least 8 hours of the day, there is still time for hobbies and relaxing in the hours after work and on the weekends. Most employees take an hour for lunch which gives employees time to catch up on outside-work interests or socialize with coworkers.

During the busy season, expect to work at least 45+ hours a week. Your workload and weekly hours can vary depending on the number of interns hired by GT, number of clients who need auditing, number of available associates, and amount of available intern-level work. Therefore, you can work anywhere from 40+ to 60+ hours. But busy season in general will not be a time for much "work-life balance." If you need to work out or have a doctor's appointment, you need to schedule that into your workload and let your team know ahead of time. Don't be surprised to work on Saturdays as well.
