On a typical day, I get to work by 9am, look through the list of possible stories which have been sent to the station or look at the national or International news and see which ones I can give a local angle or how I could make a local story relevant to the international audience. I then decide on which one or a couple I'll focus. I pitch to a producer, get the green light to work on it. If it means hitting the street to grab interviews, I do, or in certain cases, I will need a professional. I make the right contact, get it, back to write the story or stories. I make sure editors approve of it, off to the audio/video edit suit, then distributed after that.
You will have to make sure that it is appearing on at least one of their platforms. It's for your own good.
