Former Application Development Analyst at Accenture

Well it really depends on what project you are in, because Accenture is a service based company and clients do matter here. I was working in a project for Baltimore Gas & Electric and it was quiet fun to work for this client. I received my GFT in Oracle so my skill was in database (SQL and PL/SQL). You reach office, try to finish all the daily routine tasks first and have breakfast with colleagues. Then you fix bugs in the code which are assigned to you on a daily basis and take a few calls with the client, discussing the progress on the defects and requirements for the new development in the code. A good amount of snacks/refreshment breaks and a lunch break find place in between this code development work. Then you leave office and have 6 hours to spare in whichever you like. But every picture is not colorful like mine as I know a few of my colleagues who had quite bossy clients, trying to extract the maximum work out of the employees.

Well I was provided a month long training on IBM AS/400 servers. My client was running a garment manufacturing and sales. I was responsible for the maintenance of the whole AS/400 system present in client location. I used to provide support for applications like "Order Placement", "Order Status" etc.. I used languages like RPGLE, CLLE, COBOL. I will also develop new GUI applications as per the client need.
