That depends entirely on you. There are regulations and standards for hours worked and taking leave. It is up to you to not work above and beyond what is required of you. Personally, I found many times that I would stay longer or work harder or take things home with me because I wanted to out of my own need to help everyone and anyone within my unit. That is not mandatory. Just be prepared that there will be times when you are off-duty or on a weekend break and you’ll get a call and be expected to report for duty, either to cover an exercise, an emergency, or for another airman. As per your oath when enlisting, you cannot say no.
