The top three or so traits I stress when I train my upcoming TCs are as follows: Decision Making – Not just being able to make the “right” decision but being able to make any in a high stress environment. Always be able to explain why you did what you did and ask for feedback if you made the “wrong” choice. Time Management – Pretty self-explanatory but being able to get all your task work completely and efficiently is very important. You should never really have any “down time” there’s always a task to be completed. Communication – probably one of the most important traits to have and look for as you are required to communicate a lot. You’ll need to explain things to guests, your fellow team members, and more importantly management. You will have to do it all in a way which each of those groups understand what you are saying which depending on the situation, may require a lot of patience and repetition.
