The main reason is experience. I was green and needed to get my foot in the door if I was to get any other positions at this company or any company for that matter. Also I worked the night shift which not only paid more but was more desirable considering I was at a CC at that time.
The main thing that motivated me to apply and accept my offer at Target was my need for a job to help save for tuition. At the time I was still attending Austin Community College and was getting ready to transfer over to Texas State University in San Marcos, so saving up for tuition to avoid having to take out loans was something that my parents helped remind me that I needed to avoid if possible. My reason for accepting the offer at Target was more along the same lines, with the exception that the pay they were offering was the most I’d been paid for any job ($11.50/hr
I shopped at Target before I worked there. Every experience that I had was positive, the team members were nice and the Target app was useful. The environment is what motivated me to apply at Target and in turn, accept the job once I was hired.
