Highlight your experience with experimental design and analytics.
Kreiman Lab values diversity and hard work, so as long as you’re accepting and professional, you’ll fit into the team. Specific skills/knowledge will give you a leg up, I.e. MATLAB, but I learned it mostly as I was starting. The largest prep skil to have is how to read scientific literature, how to carry out experiments properly, and how to present results/modify your experimental plan as the experiment is being conducted. These research skills are vital to success in lab here since they place such emphasis on independent work. I did not interview, but I was selected for my interest in neurobiology and willingness to adapt to psycho-physics vision research.
