Depending on your duty station, you work in the commissary (supermarket) on an army base inspecting food delivery trucks to make sure food was delivered at the right temperature. You also inspect the commissary to make sure food is stored properly, good sanitation, food quality and expiration dates, and make sure that the commissary has no pest infestation.
You also inspect other food establishments.restaurants that are on base. most veterinary food inspectors located stateside have a regular 5 day workday similar to civilian jobs. But, there is a chance that you could deploy overseas.
