The job requires great dedication. If you are unwilling to work long hours, some weekends, or travel frequently. Do not apply.
It is not a job for the faint of heart. The hospitality development market is very competitive and you have to feel very comfortable making some sacrifices, and putting in the effort necessary to succeed.
Do not expect to sit at your computer and work on one thing only at a time, and leave for home at 5:30 pm. It just doesn't work like that. If that is your level of expectation, you will find yourself without a job in a very short time.
Do not expect a lot of cheerleading or hand-holding.
That said, the rewards are awesome if you have the right attitude for a very demanding professional environment.
