The beauty of being a fitness instructor is the flexibility in time allotted by the job. Most of the time, the classes I taught were only 1 hour in length. Some days, I taught 3 classes, either 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening, or vice versa. I usually taught about 15 classes, over the course of 5 days/week. Teaching back-to-back morning classes was never an easy task, especially those with starting time at 6 a.m. I always utilized the time I spent instructing as my own personal time to train and stay fit, but each instructor varies in technique and style. During the in-between time for classes, I was able to go home and spend time raising my young children and prioritize family needs. No additional time other than that spent instructing, was required by the gym. The job had "on-time" demands and suggested "desired class-attendance numbers", but overall operated with a laid-back approach and was a wonderful place to work!
