I would suggest prepairing for an interview as a Fitness Instructor position at NextLevel Health by calling or stopping by the gym 1st to see if there is an instructor position open. This facility is on the "smaller" size, as far as most gyms are concerned and has a personal/family friendly feel. The staff are incredibly approachable and were a delight to work with. You might also want to be a resume with you or at very least a list of facilities you've worked for in the past or experience you have in the field. Many workout facilities looking for instructors, do not require prior certification before hiring but any experience in the field helps. I believe I taught at NextLevel Health and Fitness as well as "The Turning Point" dance studio for 2-3 years before ever obtaining official "fitness instructor" certification through AFAA. Most gyms will work with you as far as certification goes.
