Former Co-op/Intern Student - Nuclear Steam Supply Systems Engineering at FirstEnergy Corp.

Mechanical engineering prepared me very well for my co-op position. The nuclear steam supply system is largely based upon the principles of thermodynamics, heat exchange, and fluid flow, so those classes gave me a great background for working in this engineering unit. One training class I took was Nuclear Systems, and most of the basic engineering background topics covered in that training course were all review of things I had learned in school as a mechanical engineering student.
