No matter what time your class begins, it is important to go in no less than fifteen minutes early. It is good to go in early and set up your music and room prior to your class. Also, teaching fitness is about making a personal connection with your students. Therefore, be prepared to get to know your students. They are there because each one has a personal goal. Your job is to help each one meet their goal as best as possible. You will teach your class, and after the class, as you are cleaning up, you will again take time to connect with your students. For each one hour class you teach, expect to be there minimum ninety minutes. It is recommended to teach no more than 7 classes per week, but for instructors that teach different formats, that varies. Throughout the week , you will be practicing your routine or routines, depending on how many formats you teach. The newer you are as a Fitness Instructor, the more time you will prepare for your classes.
